Lautsprecherorchester Festival
Gipfeltreffen
*Loudspeaker orchestras are actually quite niche. At first glance, it's not entirely clear how they are supposed to work. The Chuchchepati Orchestra, which has been based at the Palace for several years, is actively working to raise awareness of these orchestras. Now, there is not just this one loudspeaker orchestra, but a whole field with its own history, standard works, and acousmonies (as loudspeaker orchestras are also called) from different places and with different ideas. The Chuchchepati Orchestra seeks exchange and networking and invites other loudspeaker orchestras to a large festival. For four days, the Palace is transformed into an acoustic object: the countless loudspeakers of the respective loudspeaker orchestras will be wired, positioned in the room, and tested for their unique characteristics. With historical acousmatic concerts, real-time compositions by guest musicians, installation pieces, and lectures on the history of the acousmatic, a unique festival will be created. It is rare to see so many loudspeakers used in such a small space.
